With the Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series, Maybach is presenting the sportiest model in the brand's history to date. Another first is the self-contained color and material world of the exterior and interior. A connecting design element is the Maybach Pattern. From the front to the rear, it sets special accents both inside and out. There will be two curated design concepts for the open two-seater at market launch: The Mercedes‑Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series Red Ambience is characterized by a new two-tone paint finish in obsidian black metallic in the upper part of the body and MANUFAKTUR garnet red metallic in the lower part. In the Mercedes‑Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series White Ambience, obsidian black metallic contrasts with MANUFAKTUR opalite white magno. Both the exceptionally brilliant red and the elegant white embody sensuality, beauty and lightness. The colors thus ideally express the philosophy and driving feel of the new model. Other exterior colors are possible upon special customer request. The interior features sustainably tanned, crystal-white MANUFAKTUR Exclusive Nappa leather and trim parts in shiny silver chrome. The market launch will start in Europe in spring 2025, with other markets to follow.

Iconic design refined with exclusive Maybach style elements and new double hood

In keeping with the brand philosophy, the Mercedes-Maybach SL offers a holistic, sensual experience. The contour of the brand-specific, chrome-finished radiator grille is illuminated, as is the delicately incorporated Maybach lettering. The distinctive bonnet with an upright Mercedes star has a chrome-plated longitudinal fin in the middle. To further increase the exclusivity, the obsidian black bonnet is optionally available with an incorporated Maybach pattern in graphite gray. This process is very complex and is partly done by hand. First, the bonnet is given a base coat, which is then sanded by hand. The Maybach pattern is then printed on. Each process step is subject to high technical requirements and requires the utmost precision in execution. Finally, the bonnet is coated with clear varnish, sanded again by hand and finished again with clear varnish.
The inside of the headlights is adorned with a high-quality accent in rose gold. The specific front apron emphasizes the width of the vehicle with horizontal air inlets. The frame of the windshield is finished with shiny chrome. Another chrome insert is located in the side member paneling. The Mercedes‑Maybach SL rolls on 21-inch forged wheels in a 5-hole design or in a multi-spoke design.
The elaborately insulated acoustic comfort top is made of a fabric in light black with a discreetly integrated anthracite-colored Maybach pattern. The rear is characterized by taillights with the Maybach signet, an independent rear apron with chrome trim, a specific diffuser design and brand-typical tailpipe trims with a horizontal bar. Behind the seats, an aerodynamically designed double scoop reinforces the individual appearance. Together with the chrome fin on the hood, it gives the two-seater a particularly elegant, sporty proportion when viewed from the side, especially when the top is open.

Interior with Maybach-specific equipment and in brilliant crystal white leather

In the interior, sustainably tanned, crystal white nappa leather creates a particularly elegant ambience. It can be found on the door panels, the center console and on the brand's typical comfort seats. The seat covers have a new floral design. The area behind the seats is also finished with white leather. The galvanized seat backrests and trim parts in silver chrome provide a brilliant contrast.
The fully digital instrument display and the electrically adjustable central display present the Maybach-specific start-up animations and display styles. The steering wheel, the stainless steel pedals and the stainless steel door sills are also typical of the brand.

High driving and noise comfort combined with a superior eight-cylinder driving experience

The highest standards also apply to driving and acoustic comfort. Comprehensive measures guarantee a quiet and comfortable driving experience at Maybach level. These include a noise-optimized exhaust system, an extensive insulation and absorption package as well as a comfort-oriented chassis design and soft engine mounts. The combination of a 4.0-liter biturbo engine with 430 kW (585 hp) output and a smooth-shifting 9G‑TRONIC automatic transmission with an adapted accelerator pedal characteristic curve ensures dynamic, confident driving pleasure at Maybach level. The fully variable 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive offers high traction even on slippery road conditions, thereby increasing driving safety. The standard rear-axle steering combines agility and stability for a manageable and safe driving experience.

Exclusive collection of MAYBACH Icons of Luxury

To match the new Mercedes-Maybach SL Monogram Series, MAYBACH Icons of Luxury will be offering a curated collection in boutiques and in the online store from the market launch. This includes a leather jacket, sneakers, a scarf, a shopper bag and a dog bag. The design is inspired by the materials and colors of the open two-seater.
