DS N°4, DS Automobiles’ latest creation has been designed for customers looking for style, elegance, versatility and driving pleasure. Redefining the standards of premium compact hatchbacks with a unique balance of bold design, handling, comfort and advanced connectivity, DS N°4 is now open to order.
With a length of 4.40 m, width of 1.87 m and height of 1.47 m, N°4 has been designed to offer a perfect balance between performance and refinement. Its new light signature is distinctive, inspired straight from the DS E-TENSE PERFORMANCE concept car and the Brand's latest creation, N°8. The beam of light stretches from the ends of the bumper to converge in segments towards the illuminated DS logo in the centre, giving N°4 a unique presence and a captivating look whatever the specification level. This supports its avant-garde visual identity and its high-quality appearance.
EFFICIENT POWERTRAINS
For the first time, DS N°4 has a 100% electric E-TENSE powertrain, which is already available to order. N°4 E-TENSE combines a range of 450 km (WLTP combined cycle) and high performance with an output of 213 hp and torque of 343 Nm. Developed with state-of-the-art components, this version is based on innovative technology derived from DS Automobiles’ expertise acquired in Formula E, particularly in the area of software, to deliver an uncompromised electrified driving experience.
DS N°4 E-TENSE comes with a battery with a net capacity of 58.3 kWh incorporating NMC-type chemistry, maximising energy efficiency while maintaining optimal compactness. It has a charging capacity of 100 km in just 11 minutes or 20 to 80% in 31 minutes at a rapid charging point (WLTP cycle) and offers 3 levels of regenerative braking from -0.6 m/s² to -2 m/s².
DS N°4 PLUG-IN-HYBRID will be available very soon with a new powertrain providing 225 hp and 360 Nm of torque for an increased range of 81 km in all-electric mode from a battery with a net capacity of 14.6 kWh, an increase of 30% compared to the previous generation. It also gets a new eDCT7 dual-clutch automatic gearbox, designed to optimise fuel consumption and performance, with a 0 to 100 km/h time of 7.4 seconds, 0.3 seconds better than the previous generation plug-in hybrid offered on DS 4.
DS N°4 HYBRID is open to order. Delivering a combined output of 145 hp, it couples a 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine with a 21 kW (28 hp) electric motor, integrated directly into the six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. In urban use, N°4 HYBRID can drive all-electric for up to 50% of the total time, depending on traffic conditions and driving style. Self-charging, it recovers energy from deceleration and braking to power its battery.
Driving enjoyment and high-tech equipment
Designed on the EMP2 modular platform, N°4 stands out through flawless handling and comfort. The suspension components and steering system contribute to the benchmark driving enjoyment. The chassis has been developed with particular attention to provide unique handling. The expertise of the Brand’s engineers has made it possible to achieve an excellent ratio between dynamism and comfort. The new 100% electric E-TENSE version, like the other models, offers very agile and enjoyable road holding. Each journey thus becomes an experience where handling and smoothness are in perfect harmony.
DS N°4 has DS DRIVE ASSIST 2.0, a level 2 semi-autonomous driving experience through lane changing, semi-automatic overtaking and speed recommendation according to signposts. DS DRIVE ASSIST 2.0 features sensors that record everything that happens in and around the car to ensure a seamless and serene drive.
DS N°4 also offers DS DRIVER ATTENTION MONITORING, a new assist that constantly analyses the driver’s level of attention and fatigue through an infrared camera installed in the windscreen pillar, as well as the DS MATRIX LED VISION headlamps, which also contribute to this dynamic serenity.
DS N°4 incorporates DS EXTENDED HEAD UP DISPLAY, a display technology that optimises the driving experience by projecting essential information directly into the driver’s field of vision. Thanks to an advanced optical effect, the data is displayed as if suspended four metres in front of the windscreen, on a diagonal of 21 inches.
This immersive display, which complements a new enlarged 10.25” instrument cluster with completely redesigned ergonomics, is part of a digital ecosystem around DS IRIS SYSTEM. A truly intelligent interface, this infotainment system powered by ChatGPT artificial intelligence adopts the fluid and intuitive ergonomics of a smartphone. Its responsive 10-inch central touchscreen is based on widget organization, offering access to the various features that is quick and can be personalised.
Equipped in this way, DS N°4 powers its occupants into a dimension of comfort, technology and advanced features.
RANGE STRUCTURE
DS N°4 is available in two main trim levels: PALLAS and ÉTOILE. An adapted version of PALLAS for companies is also available (PALLAS BUSINESS LINE), as well as two interior settings available on ÉTOILE: Alcantara® and Nappa leather.
The PALLAS specification provides a refined interior with high-density (Diamond Tungsten) and TEP fabric seats, adorned with stitching. The dashboard and door panels feature basalt black trim with a scale effect, as well as Belem Bronze inserts, giving an overall sophisticated look.
The rich level of standard equipment includes the new 10.25-inch high-definition digital instrument cluster inspired by the graphics from DS N°8, dual-zone automatic climate control, LED headlamps and Full LED taillights, power folding and de-icing exterior mirrors, a safety package with Adaptive Cruise Control Stop & Go and automatic emergency braking controlled by camera and radar, front and rear parking assistance with reversing camera, acoustic laminated front side windows, as well as wireless Mirror Screen via Wi-Fi.

ÉTOILE : dynamic and refined
As standard, the ÉTOILE trim includes (in addition to the equipment of the PALLAS trim) the DS IRIS SYSTEM infotainment, DS MATRIX LED VISION headlamps and Full LED taillights with scrolling turn signals, the Rear Traffic Detection Pack (RCTA + LCA), power front seats, laminated rear privacy glass, aluminium door sills and pedals and the wireless smartphone charger.

Four options are available independently of a pack: the towbar that’s removable without tools (incompatible with E-TENSE), the electric sunroof, the power tailgate with hands-free access, the Perla Nera Black roof, and the 7.4 kW single-phase charger with mode 3 cable (on E-TENSE).
DS N°4 JULES VERNE also available
The JULES VERNE collection is available with all powertrains and includes the following equipment as standard: Proximity hands-free entry and start, front and rear parking sensors with reversing camera, DS IRIS SYSTEM with integrated ChatGPT, speed limit sign recognition, active lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control with Stop&Go function, CONNECT PLUS pack, electric seats and wireless charger.
Inspired by the novel “Around the World in Eighty Days”, DS N°4 JULES VERNE features an exclusive bonnet badge, representing a compass dial topped with the author’s signature. The graphic and dynamic design of DS N°4 JULES VERNE is enhanced by 19-inch LIMA alloy wheels, sporting a gold-coloured centre cap. The satin chrome door sill trim features the novelist’s signature and an orientation dial. The interior of DS N°4 JULES VERNE, the promise of a unique hushed experience, features Eternal Blue and Pearl Alcantara®. The laser-engraved dashboard reveals the sketch of a compass rose referencing engineering from the adventurers of the time. It can be seen as a compass pattern reminiscent of the navigational instruments used by explorers.
