21-04-2026 21:11 -

The name Bovensiepen is well-known in the automotive industry, and now it stands directly as a manufacturer of exceptional automobiles that embody the concept of "Fine Driving." The launch of Bovensiepen marks a new era for the company and, at the same time, the focused continuation of the extensive development and manufacturing expertise from Buchloe.

In the future, Bovensiepen will realize unique automotive projects, combining profound engineering and timeless design into a precise, harmonious work of art. Each car will be crafted by experts with decades of experience, great passion, and extensive handwork. They share this dedication with the enthusiasts who appreciate and admire these cars and all their details.

The Bovensiepen factory is located in Buchloe, Bavaria. From design and construction to development, manufacturing, and hand-finishing, all the threads come together here to create automobiles that are among the best in the world and offer the unique feeling of Fine Driving.

The Bovensiepen Zagato combines renowned Bavarian engineering with unmistakable Italian design. A novelty, created with dedication to inspire automotive enthusiasts. A true and exceptional Gran Turismo that expresses freedom and elegance down to the last detail.

The bodywork bears the unmistakable signature of the long-established Milanese design studio Zagato. All design elements – from the elegant, elongated hood and side profile to the almost architectural execution of the front and rear – hark back to the tradition of iconic coupes – in a modern, timeless interpretation.

“It was a team effort, driven by enthusiasm for the project – the idea of launching the first car of a new luxury brand – and the fact that we were combining the DNA of two families.
When you combine two DNAs, the result should be a stronger DNA,” explains Andrea Zagato, third-generation president of Zagato.

The unique Gran Turismo driving experience stems from an unparalleled symbiosis of design and technology. Engineering "Made in Buchloe" begins with the Bovensiepen sport suspension featuring special Bilstein dampers and distinctive, stylish forged wheels, and extends to the lightweight body, which is almost entirely made of carbon fiber. A powerful soundtrack for pure emotion is produced by the lightweight titanium exhaust system, developed in collaboration with Akrapovič. More than 400 precision parts were developed for this model to bring to life what the Bovensiepen name stands for at its core: Fine Driving.

The power that the Bovensiepen Zagato exudes outwards also comes from within: A 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine delivers an output of 449 kW (611 hp) and a maximum torque of 700 Nm. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 3.3 seconds; the top speed is in excess of 300 km/h.*

The Bovensiepen Zagato is manufactured at the automotive factory in Buchloe – with passionate handcraftsmanship by proven experts with decades of experience in automotive engineering. Despite the skilled hands involved, production time at the factory amounts to at least 250 man-hours per car.

“As two family businesses, we still view the automobile with romantic eyes. Today, many vehicles are highly standardized, and their romance is lost,” says Andrea Zagato.

The Bovensiepen Zagato will make its debut this weekend at the Fuori Concorso on Lake Como. The perfect setting for a true Gran Turismo.

The Bovensiepen Zagato is the perfect symbiosis of design and technology. This timeless Gran Turismo embodies the intensive collaboration between engineering "Made in Buchloe" and design "Made in Milan." The result is a car that is far more than the sum of its parts. "Our goal is to build cars for connoisseurs and enthusiasts who appreciate the perfect symbiosis of design and technology," says Managing Director Andreas Bovensiepen.

The Bovensiepen Zagato's design is a harmonious interplay of individual design features. Its well-balanced proportions make this Gran Turismo an unmistakable beauty. “It's a kind of mixture of Italian flair, a kind of sexy and soft design, and a German, very solid, almost architectural structure… it is a beautiful blend of these two automotive cultures, I would say,” Norihiko Harada, Chief Designer at Zagato.

The elongated side profile, without a B-pillar and featuring fully retractable, frameless windows, defines the elegant side view. A horizontal design line spans the entire vehicle, connecting all exterior elements. The double-bubble roof and rear window – unmistakable for Zagato design – makes the Bovensiepen Zagato instantly recognizable from every angle.

The powerful front end is defined by a large central air intake with a milled stainless steel grille and low-mounted headlights. The two dynamically and elegantly sculpted air intakes below hint at the high performance potential of the inline six-cylinder engine. The long, low-slung hood exudes dynamism: the striking lines on the hood and the large U-shaped air outlet give the Bovensiepen Zagato a three-dimensional and dynamic appearance.

From the front, the wraparound design line rises over the pronounced contours of the side profile and the powerfully emphasized rear fenders to the trailing edge of the rear. The side air outlets in the front fenders, with integrated Zagato lettering, allow for optimal airflow and accentuate the flowing lines of the body. “…if design doesn’t take a risk, we cannot impress the people. This is something Andreas Bovensiepen understood immediately. He accepted taking a risk,” Norihiko Harada.

The precisely sculpted, almost architectural rear end with its muscular fenders, pronounced fins, and striking trailing edge symbolizes the power and dynamism that the Bovensiepen Zagato is capable of unleashing. The Bovensiepen logo
and a prominent rear diffuser surrounding the two twin exhaust pipes complete the athletic rear design.

The long hood, low roofline and dynamic rear create a flowing, wedge-shaped silhouette – ideal conditions for aerodynamic efficiency.

The Bovensiepen Zagato is exceptional in terms of design and performance. Its powerful engine and impressive driving performance meet the highest standards.

The 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine delivers 449 kW (611 hp) and a maximum torque of 700 Nm. The Gran Turismo's superior power and torque characteristics are fine-tuned over countless hours on the engine test bench and many thousands of test kilometers. The Bovensiepen Zagato accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and reaches a top speed in excess of 300 km/h.*

For a refined driving experience, specially developed Damptronic dampers from Bilstein are used. Bovensiepen's chassis engineers have fine-tuned the system with extensive experience and a keen eye for detail, focusing on "Gran Turismo" performance. Three driving modes (Comfort, Sport, and Sport Plus) allow the driver to choose between athletic driving dynamics and pronounced comfort. Virtually the entire body of the Bovensiepen Zagato is made of lightweight carbon fiber, which enhances both the vehicle's dynamics and the emotional driving experience.

The Bovensiepen forged wheel in 20" continues the interplay of design and engineering: The ten elongated double spokes create a unique visual depth. Milled grooves in each individual spoke allow for significant
weight savings, resulting in lightweight wheels.

The powerful sound is pure emotion. The lightweight titanium exhaust system, developed in collaboration with Akrapovič, significantly reduces exhaust backpressure and, at 22 kg, is approximately 40 percent lighter than conventional systems. The exhaust system terminates in twin tailpipes – also made of titanium.

The production time for a Bovensiepen Zagato at the Buchloe factory is at least 250 working hours. During this time, over 400 precision parts are meticulously assembled. This requires experts with decades of experience and a delicate touch. This makes each piece unique, crafted entirely according to the customer's wishes.

The interior of the Bovensiepen Zagato combines stylish modernity with handcrafted details. The infotainment system display is seamlessly integrated into the leather-covered instrument panel, while high-quality shift paddles milled from solid aluminum, a personalized production number plate, and the hand-stitched Lavalina® steering wheel add elegant touches. The seat design proudly displays its GT DNA: the center panels with their characteristic longitudinal stripes blend harmoniously with the modernly
designed backrests, reminiscent of stylized bucket seats.

Thanks to the extensive experience of the excellent upholsterers in Buchloe, the interior of a Bovensiepen Zagato can become a truly unique piece. At the Buchloe workshop, customer wishes can be fulfilled down to the smallest detail. This makes each vehicle a genuine one-of-a-kind. Every detail tells its own story, and every story begins with the vision of an automotive enthusiast.

With the optional Lavalina® full leather interior, nearly every area is covered in this exquisite material by an experienced saddler in over 130 hours of meticulous handcraftsmanship. Furthermore, the workshop can
also create custom embossing or artistic embroidery. All of this is done to ensure that every vehicle fully meets the customer's expectations.
The Lavalina® color palette includes 16 standard colors. In addition, any desired color can be achieved through the Bovensiepen Bespoke program. The leather can be combined with Alcantara, which is available in 45 additional colors
and harmonizes particularly well with Lavalina®.
