Citroën announce new ‘outdoor’ trim – embracing daily adventures in C3 and C3 Aircross

Citroën has revealed OUTDOOR trim, a new variant available on C3, ë-C3, C3 Aircross and ë-C3 Aircross becoming the highest specification model for these models.

OUTDOOR trim combines premium features and a distinctive design inspired by exploration and adventure with a strong visual identity – designed for customers looking for vehicles that express their personality and their desire to escape. Citroën presents OUTDOOR through two complementary interpretations:

Positioned above the MAX trim level, the new C3 OUTDOOR and C3 Aircross OUTDOOR immediately make their mark thanks to a range of exclusive features.

Exterior design: more strength and character

Both C3 and C3 Aircross, and their electric variants, benefit from new front and rear bumpers, redesigned to create a more bold, rugged aesthetic, incorporating a more structured and angular style. The front bumper is further enhanced by a distinctive grey component, reminiscent of the protective skid plates typically found on SUVs. On C3 Aircross and ë-C3 Aircross, the lower section also features LED fog lights.

Viewed from the side, the C3 and C3 Aircross feature a grey insert at the bottom of the doors that graphically defines the silhouette. This section is embossed with the OUTDOOR logo, introducing the mascot Migoo, which playfully supports this cross-range series. The side profile is also characterised by new 17-inch matt grey alloy wheels. Their angular design – unique to the C3 and C3 Aircross – gives the models a highly distinctive stance.

These wheels feature the Citroën logo in Infra Red at their centre. This pop of colour is consistent across the OUTDOOR trim and is also identified through colour clips and the brand emblem at the front and rear.

A new Sequoia Green exterior colour makes its debut and is standard, available alongside Perla Nera Black, Mercury Grey, Polar White and Bright Blue. A bi-tone roof is also available on all colours except for Perla Nera Black.

The OUTDOOR interior ambience is enhanced by splashes of red

The interior ambience has been designed to reinforce this move upmarket and the promise of escape. Special attention has been paid to the choice of colours and materials to immerse the occupants in a unique atmosphere, true to the leisure-oriented spirit of the OUTDOOR range.

Advanced Comfort seats feature a distinctive graphic theme on the backrests and seat cushions, with characterful horizontal patterns. The backrests of the front seats are adorned with a laser-embroidered depiction of the mascot Migoo. These seats are also enhanced by elegant topstitching in Infra Red, which is also found on the armrest and door panels.

This unique ambience is reflected in the new Dune colour accents featured in both the fabric sections and the trim on the dashboard, centre armrest and door panels. The OUTDOOR signature also appears on an embossed fabric insert on the dashboard in front of the passenger.

To contrast with the attractive new Dune interior ambience, OUTDOOR trim features striking pops of colour throughout, including orange seatbelts and a red logo on the steering wheel.

C3 OUTDOOR: the spirit of urban escape

Compact, agile and modern, C3 OUTDOOR has been designed for those who wish to break free from the constraints of city life without compromising on comfort and style.

C3 now features front parking sensors for the first time, which make manoeuvring in urban environments easier and further enhance its versatility. Keyless entry and start have also been introduced for hybrid and electric models. Interior comfort is enhanced with inclusion of the Winter Pack as standard including heated front seats, heated steering wheel and heated windscreen.

Available with a 100hp turbo petrol, 110hp hybrid or 113hp electric powertrain – the latter offering a range of up to 200 miles (WLTP) – the C3 OUTDOOR provides the right solution for every need.

C3 Aircross OUTDOOR: the perfect companion for family adventures

With its generous interior space and renowned versatility, C3 Aircross OUTDOOR takes its family-friendly credentials even further.

It stands out with its functional roof rails, which make it easy to transport leisure equipment, as well as its LED fog lights, which enhance its visual identity and practicality.

Available with a 100hp manual turbo petrol and 145hp automatic hybrid powertrain, the C3 Aircross OUTDOOR is also available as an 113hp extended-range electric version. Offering a range of up to 246 miles (WLTP), the ë-C3 Aircross OUTDOOR is the ideal partner for both everyday runabouts and family trips.

The OUTDOOR signature is personified by Migoo, a comic-book-inspired mascot with a strong personality. With his imposing attitude and his face as expressive as it is endearing, he embodies a spirit of adventure, discovery and freedom, with that touch of mischief that makes him instantly likeable.
