Full hybrid drive for the Suzuki Vitara.

The heart of the new Vitara full hybrid is a 24kW electric motor, which not only supports the new 1.5 liter DUALJET four-cylinder petrol engine with 75kW (102PS) when accelerating, but can also drive the Vitara on its own. The system performance is 85kW (115hp). The system is coupled to an automated 6-speed manual gearbox (AGS).

The Vitara full hybrid thus combines the advantages of purely electric and locally emission-free driving in everyday life with the unrestricted practicality of a conventional petrol engine. When braking and decelerating, the electric motor acts as a generator, converting the kinetic energy into electrical energy and storing it in the high-voltage lithium-ion battery.

The new Suzuki Vitara 1.5 DUALJET Hybrid is available in the two equipment lines Comfort and Comfort+, which can each be combined with front and all-wheel drive. Even the Comfort version includes an audio system with a smartphone connection, automatic air conditioning and LED headlights. The standard safety equipment includes the dual-sensor supported active brake support, the lane departure warning system with steering intervention, drowsiness detection, traffic sign recognition, a blind spot warning system, a parking assistant and a reversing camera.

In addition to the new Vitara full hybrid, the SUV model is still available in conjunction with the BOOSTERJET turbo petrol engine with a displacement of 1.4 liters and 95 kW (129 hp), which is always coupled to a 48V mild hybrid system and manual transmission. In addition to the Comfort and Comfort+ variants, the entry-level Club version is also available here.
