Porsche presents the first Macan T.

The letter T has stood for a special form of sportiness at Porsche since the 1960s. It stands for "Touring" and marks models that offer a particularly puristic driving experience with targeted tuning, exclusive equipment and slim engines. True to the spirit of the Porsche 911 T from 1968, the new Macan T has a particularly dynamic set-up and a lightweight two-liter turbo engine, combined with a sporty appearance and sporty standard equipment. With this concept, the T finds its place between the Macan and the Macan S.

The two-liter turbo in-line four-cylinder in the Macan T combines high agility, low weight and a compact design in a package that represents an ideal balance of performance and weight. Compared to the 2.9-litre V6 biturbo engine in the Macan S and GTS, the drive in the Macan T weighs 58.8 kilograms less on the front axle. This enables high starting performance and optimal cornering characteristics.

The output of 195 kW (265 hp) and the torque of 400 Newton meters match the puristic vehicle concept and ensure great driving pleasure. As is generally the case with the Macan, the engine is coupled to a fast-shifting seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (PDK) and to the Porsche Traction Management (PTM) all-wheel drive system. A wide torque plateau delivers agile propulsion in all driving situations. With the standard Sport Chrono Package including mode switch and Sport Response button on the steering wheel, the Macan T accelerates to 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 232 km/h.

Exclusively for the Macan T, Porsche combines the steel chassis with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) as standard with a lowering of the body by 15 millimeters. With stiffer stabilizers on the front axle and an optimized tuning, it harmonises perfectly with the vehicle and drive. It enables particularly direct steering behavior and agile handling.
