The engine is at the heart of every Aston Martin, but never more so than in this, the fastest, most powerful Vantage ever built. Producing 700 hp at 6500 rpm and 753 Nm of torque from just 1800 rpm to 6000 rpm, the 5.2-litre, 60-degree quad-cam V12 offers an exhilarating combination of great low-midrange muscle and searing excellence. With a top speed of 320 km/h, the V12 Vantage sprints from 0 to 60 in just 3.4 seconds. Thanks to the power of this great engine - and the extensive use of weight-saving materials throughout the vehicle - the V12 Vantage has a power-to-weight ratio of 390 hp per ton; an increase of more than 20% compared to the V8-powered Vantage.
Power is delivered through an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission and a mechanical limited-slip differential (LSD) mounted at the rear of the vehicle. The V12 Vantage receives a unique transmission calibration to improve shift speeds and driver interaction, drawing on lessons learned from the V12 Speedster and Vantage F1® Edition models. This specially calibrated software offers a level of shift refinement and ease of use that surpasses that of dual-clutch transmissions. The transmission's adaptive software measures the conditions in which the car is being operated, as well as driver demands, to ensure the car is in exactly the right gear at the right time, delivering a truly connected driving experience.
