Hennessey, the Texas-based hypercar maker and developer of high-performance vehicles, has begun building its largest truck yet, the 1,012-hp, 283-inch (719 cm) long Hennessey Mammoth 1000 6×6 TRX. At almost two meters high and 88 inches wide, the huge 6×6 pickup outshines ordinary cars and trucks. It has the power to live up to its presence as Hennessey engineers boost the output of the stock Dodge Ram TRX engine by more than 300 horsepower to 1,012 horsepower. The torque required to power the monster truck is similarly increased, totaling 1,314 Nm (969 lb-ft) after a 433 Nm (319 lb-ft) lift by Hennessey. In addition to performance upgrades, the new truck features a mountain of off-road kits, from lockable rear axles and Bilstein suspension to 20-inch wheels with 37-inch off-road tires. The 6×6 mammoth builds on the base Ram TRX and adds a third axle, increasing the truck's length by more than four feet and creating a cavernous cargo area.
Starting at $449,950 - including the base Ram TRX - the four-door Mammoth 6×6 features upgraded front and rear bumpers and a dazzling array of LED lights, as well as a bespoke interior that adds to the exclusivity of this particular vehicle. Under the chest-high bonnet is a mighty 6.2-liter Hellcat V8 engine – a beast even in stock form. The Hennessey team builds on this foundation, adding a high-flow 2.65-litre supercharger, fuel injectors and high-flow induction system alongside a performance-enhancing calibration. The new Hennessey Mammoth 1000 6×6 TRX is available for worldwide shipping and can be ordered now from authorized Ram dealers or directly from Hennessey at +1 979 885 1300 or at HennesseyPerformance.com can be ordered.
