TAG Heuer has been the team's title partner since Porsche entered Formula E in 2019. His third season at the Seoul E-Prix did not end with the respectable success he had hoped for: André Lotterer (GER/car number 36) did not finish his last race for the team. Pascal Wehrlein (GER/car number 94), who finished seventh the day before and finished in the points, also retired early through no fault of his own.

Season 8 was one of ups and downs for the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team. The team from Weissach celebrated its greatest success on February 12, 2022 with a historic double victory at the Mexico City E-Prix. At the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, Pascal Wehrlein in the Porsche 99X Electric clinched pole position for Porsche's first victory in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. André Lotterer finished second, completing the triumph of the Stuttgart sports car manufacturer in the third Formula E race of the season. In the drivers' standings of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, Pascal Wehrlein is tenth after 16 races with 71 points, and André Lotterer is twelfth with 63 points. The TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E team is seventh in the team classification with 134 points.
