The Luxembourger won the twelfth race of the season on Sunday ahead of Larry ten Voorde (Netherlands/Team GP Elite) and Porsche Junior Laurin Heinrich (Germany/SSR Huber Racing). “In the beginning I was able to get a lead, but in the end Larry ten Voorde got closer and closer. It was a close duel, but we've known each other for many years and I knew that he's a fair driver, even in the duel for the lead. Everything is still open in the fight for the title,” says Pereira. Already on Saturday Pereira celebrated at the top of the podium and has three wins in a row. A total of 21,500 visitors followed the races live on site – a new record for an ADAC GT Masters event at the Lausitzring.

Pereira drove a 375 kW (510 hp) Porsche 911 GT3 Cup to a lights-to-flag victory. After the 25-year-old was able to break away from his 29 pursuers at first, Pereira fought an exciting duel with ten Voorde in the final laps. Lap by lap, the two-time Carrera Cup champion increased the pressure on the man in front, but had to settle for second place after 22 laps. “I improved by one position. Maybe I could have taken a little more risk in the end. Still, second place is a good result,” says ten Voorde.
