Dylan Pereira is the new Supercup Champion: He really only had to cross the finish line to secure overall victory in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup. Instead, the Luxembourger, who had started from third position, was repeatedly involved in hair-raising battles for positions. Especially in the duel with Larry ten Voorde, who could have challenged him for the title, Pereira even made a few driving mistakes. For this he received a time penalty of three seconds from the race control. Pereira crossed the finish line in third place in the 375 kW (510 hp) Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, but was rated fifth – enough for his first Supercup title.
To a certain extent, Dylan Pereira was born with a love of motorsport: His father Guillaume, who immigrated to Luxembourg from Portugal, was a successful kart driver himself. It's almost logical that Pereira junior competed in kart races when he was ten years old. After two titles in the Euro Winter Cup and several seasons in European and World Championships, his path finally led him to GT racing.
