The 2.0-liter boxer petrol engine with the mild hybrid system e-Boxer takes care of the propulsion. The electric brake booster ensures excellent deceleration, which responds even better - also in connection with the adaptive cruise control, if a vehicle suddenly cuts in in front of the Crosstrek.
The stereo camera, which has been improved once again and is attached directly to the windscreen in the new generation of vehicles, offers twice the wide angle of previous versions. In order to reliably recognize objects at greater distances and at greater angles, Subaru has also improved the image recognition and control software, among other things. A newly introduced wide-angle mono camera detects motorbikes and pedestrians at low speeds from an even wider angle than the new stereo camera. This means that emergency braking can be initiated even earlier in an emergency in order to avoid collisions.
