The third season of the Abarth Rally Cup, the continental series dedicated to the Abarth 124 rally, gets underway as part of the tests of the FIA ​​ERC European Rally Championship. Dariusz Poloński and Lukasz Sitek collected the first points at the 77th Rally of Poland, next weekend the challenge moves to Latvian soil where together with the Rallytechnology crew at the start there will be the Czechs Martin Rada and Jaroslav Jugas.
The crews will have to face the 10 special stages of the Liepāja Rally which includes 179.02 kilometers of timed trials and 490.03 kilometers of transfer for a total of 669.05 kilometers to be covered on the fast dirt road around the cities of Talsi and Liepāja, now covered consolidated since 2019 when, to the tests of the Liepāja loop, those around the city located in the northeast of the country were added. But several sections of the special stages have been modified since last year with only two stages 7 and 10 remaining unchanged compared to 2020.

The start of the Liepāja Rally is scheduled for Thursday 1 July at 5.00 pm local time with the 4.61 km Qualifying Stage in the Vartaja area, located a few kilometers east of the starting and finishing city. First loop of four special stages on Friday 2 July, in the Talsi area, while on Saturday 3 July it will be the turn of the 90.92 kilometers distributed over the six special stages in Liepāja.

The Abarth 124 rally, with ground trim, raised by 40mm and with O.Z. from 15 ', they will also be protagonists in ERC2 where, in both 2019 and 2020, the Scorpion cars won second place with Andrea Nucita and Andrea Mabellini, the first two Abarth Rally Cup champions.
