From today to 11 July, yet another edition of the Goodwood Festival will be held, a reference point for fans of automotive culture. Open since 2000 to the participation of current models, it includes exhibitions, road shows and special tests in which the most disparate types of cars take part, from historic ones to Formula 1 racing cars. Hence the decision of the major car manufacturers to exploit the event as springboard for the latest news: this year Alfa Romeo presents its new supercar, Giulia GTA / GTAm.

There is a lot of history behind the Giulia GTA, starting with the iconic progenitor of 1965, the "Gran Turismo Alleggerita" which collected sporting successes all over the world. Inspired by one of the most successful models in Alfa Romeo's 111-year history, the new Giulia GTA / GTAm represents the ultimate expression in terms of style, mechanics and driving pleasure and will be produced in just 500 numbered units. Equipped with the Alfa Romeo 2.9 V6 Bi-Turbo engine boosted to 540 HP, thanks to the extended adoption of ultralight materials, Giulia GTA / GTAm benefits from a weight reduction of up to 100 kg compared to Giulia Quadrifoglio and accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3.6 seconds. In addition, specific technical solutions have also been developed for aerodynamics, set-up and handling. The project made use of the expertise of Sauber Engineering and Formula 1 team drivers Antonio Giovinazzi and Kimi Räikkönen.

Hundreds of cars take part in the iconic Hillclimb every year. An uphill track of 1.86 km to be covered by enthusiasts who take part in the event. An absolute debut, the first opportunity for Alfa Romeo fans in the UK to see Giulia GTA / GTAm directly at work, which represent the maximum expression of the brand's unique ability to combine style and sportiness. An unforgettable experience for all fans of the Biscione house.
