One day after his first win of the season in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, Maximilian Günther (GER) showed an impressive catch-up race in Sunday's New York City E-Prix (USA). After bad luck in qualifying, he had to start from 23rd position, but gradually fought his way forward thanks to a clever strategy and energy management and improved to tenth place on the last lap.

He was rewarded with a point in the drivers' championship for his fighting spirit. Like Günther, Jake Dennis (GBR) also suffered from the fact that in two qualifying group of all places there was light rain and no best times were possible. So he too had to be content with a starting position in the back field and ultimately crossed the finish line in 16th place.
