With the new e:Ny1, Honda is further expanding its range of fully electric vehicles. The new model is the brand's second electric car after the award-winning Honda e and has now been unveiled at the company's European media event in Offenbach. The Japanese car manufacturer is thus targeting the growing customer demand for fully electric SUVs in the B segment. The short front overhang, large wheels and wide track give the model a distinct and sophisticated aesthetic. The e:Ny1 also shows Honda's new electric design identity for the first time with white H emblems on the front end, hubcaps and steering wheel, among other things. The premium look that will characterize all future electric vehicles from the brand is also underlined by a new Honda lettering on the tailgate.

A powerful and lightweight drive unit consisting of an electric motor and gearbox is integrated into the platform. It generates a maximum output of 150 kW and a torque of 310 Nm and is designed for refined acceleration and deceleration. Under the vehicle floor is a powerful lithium-ion battery with 68.8 kWh, which offers a range of up to 412 km (WLTP) and allows recharging from 10 to 80% in just 45 minutes with the DC fast charging function. The new chassis, specially developed for battery electric vehicles, provides improved torsional rigidity thanks to the use of high-strength steel, which is used for 47% of the body (by weight).
