The GT4 European Series held two races at the Circuit Paul Ricard in Le Castellet (FRA) last weekend. On Sunday, the Hofor Racing by Bonk Motorsport team started from pole position with their BMW M4 GT4. Gabriele Piana (ITA) and Michael Schrey (GER) then held their ground in a chaotic final phase with heavy rain and finished second on the podium. Berkay Besler (TUR) and Tom Edgar (GBR) made a spectacular comeback in the final laps on wet tires to fourth place, but afterwards the Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport duo received a 43-second time penalty that saw them finish 15th thrown back. On Saturday, Besler and Edgar were the best BMW team in seventh place. Piana and Schrey finished twelfth in the first run.
