The two best-placed Porsche customer teams will start tomorrow's race from positions nine and 20 in the Spa-Francorchamps 24 Hours. In the Super Pole session on Friday evening, Porsche works driver Mathieu Jaminet drove the ninth fastest lap in the 911 GT3 R from GPX Racing. In the 20-minute shoot-out, the first 20 racing cars from qualifying on Thursday competed against each other in an individual time trial. The faster of two laps was rated. The 26-year-old Frenchman achieved a lap time of 2: 18.729 minutes on the 7.004 kilometer long rollercoaster in the Belgian Ardennes. Jaminet shares the cockpit with Earl Bamber from New Zealand and the Australian Matt Campbell. Laurens Vanthoor placed his 911 GT3 R from KCMG in 20th place on the grid in 2: 19.742 minutes. The 30-year-old Belgian was denied his first attempt because he briefly ran over the route markings in his Porsche. He is tackling the classic marathon in his home country together with his compatriot Maxime Martin and the Briton Nick Tandy.
