Bentley Mulliner Bacalar.

09-08-2022 19:53 - CAR NEWS
Bentley Mulliner completes the final stages of craftsmanship on 12 of the rarest Bentleys of modern times - the exquisite Bacalar. The ultimate expression of open-air two-seat luxury, the Bacalar was the first in a new series of bespoke excellence projects that spearheaded a return to coachbuilding at Bentley Mulliner – the world's oldest coachbuilder. The upcoming completion of the Bacalars will allow the Mulliner team to focus attention on their next project, which will be announced soon.

Eight Bacalars - each in a unique color designed by its client - have now been delivered to their owners around the world, with the last four cars in the final stages of preparation at Mulliner's Crewe workshop for transport and delivery. As each car takes around six months to complete, the final tasks and quality checks mark the end of a long and incredibly detailed process to craft each Bacalar to its owner's wishes.

This Bacalar was painted custom Sunset Orange, with custom 22-inch tri-tone wheels in Dark Gray Satin with polished faces and gloss black accents that provide a bold contrast to the vibrant exterior. The centers of the headlights were color-matched to the Sunset Orange body, flanked by a set of gloss black grilles and bezels. The hood vents made a structural difference as they were finished in satin carbon fiber, as were the door mirrors. Satin finish carbon fiber also added definition to the "humps" behind the front seats - accented with vibrant Sunset Orange accents - along with the side skirts and rear diffuser, complemented by exhaust tips with gloss black exterior and matte black interior. Mandarin Orange leather accentuates the shape of the upper roller, the center line in the steering wheel, and both the door opener and shifter. This continues with further stitching at the rear of the seats within the oval perforated Beluga piping and hand cross stitching along the door, following the styling line up to the center console.
