The generation change at the top of the BMW model range is associated with a redefinition of luxury that puts people first. In addition to presence, elegance and exclusive premium quality, it embodies above all a progressive attitude that is characterized by innovations with a direct impact on the user experience, comprehensive networking and exemplary sustainability. The new BMW 7 Series is thus aimed at a modern target group that is committed and responsible in facing its challenges and uses individual mobility as an opportunity.
The new BMW 7 Series embodies a modern style that focuses on the essentials in both its exterior and interior design. The front design for the BMW models in the luxury segment, which focuses on the brand-typical features, ensures clear differentiation from the other series of the brand. Innovative equipment features such as the BMW Theater Screen, the multi-sensory vehicle experience BMW iDrive with the latest generation of the BMW Operating System 8 operating system as well as the BMW Curved Display and the maneuvering assistant for automated parking and maneuvering characterize the progressive character of the luxury sedans.
The model range of the new BMW 7 Series will be supplemented worldwide by two BMW M automobiles with electrified drive. The new BMW M760e xDrive will make its debut in spring 2023 with an output of 420 kW/571 hp and a torque of 800 Nm. For particularly fascinating acceleration processes, its electric motor generates a temporary boost with an additional output of 30 kW/40 hp. An M-specific design for the exterior and interior, including an exhaust system with characteristic pairs of twin tailpipes with a unique geometry, underscores the performance characteristics of the BMW M automobile with plug-in hybrid technology.
The future top model in the series, the new BMW i7 M70 xDrive, which will follow later in 2023, will have a purely electric drive with two motors on the front and rear axles. Its drive system generates a maximum output of well over 600 hp and a maximum torque of more than 1,000 Nm. The most powerful BMW model ever approved for the road accelerates from zero to 100 kilometers in less than 4.0 seconds. (The details of the power, performance and energy consumption of the BMW i7 M70 xDrive are forecasts based on the vehicle's current development status, including temporary boosts.)
