Dodge Charger: Two distinct personalities, one unmistakable spirit

27-10-2026 15:57 - MARKET NEWS
Sixty years after helping define the muscle car era, the Dodge Charger returns to Europe with a new generation that honors its heritage while embracing a multi-fuel future. This eighth-generation model carries forward the performance-driven DNA, bold design, and distinctive character that have defined the Charger for six decades.

The Dodge Charger Daytona (Scat Pack and R/T) and Dodge Charger SIXPACK (Scat Pack and R/T) are now available to European customers through official importer KWA, which operates more than 200 authorized RAM and Dodge dealerships in 20 major European countries.

The return of a star-spangled legend: the new Dodge Charger.
The Dodge Charger remains one of the most authentic expressions of American automotive culture. The new European lineup includes the all-electric Dodge Charger Daytona and the Dodge Charger with SIXPACK powertrain, two distinct interpretations of Dodge performance developed on the STLA Large multi-energy platform.

The Charger Daytona represents the battery-electric expression of the Dodge muscle car, combining a 400-volt propulsion system, two Electric Drive Modules, standard all-wheel drive, and instant torque response. Meanwhile, the Charger SIXPACK powertrain represents the internal combustion engine interpretation, combining a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter Hurricane inline-six with standard all-wheel drive.

Experience the Charger in Europe
In September, the European Media Drive took journalists to the Balocco Proving Ground, a facility chosen to host Dodge Charger driving activities and offer access to both dedicated track areas and established road courses.

The program began with a press conference and technical briefing on the next-generation Dodge Charger and its multi-energy architecture, before journalists took the wheel of both the all-electric Dodge Charger Daytona and the Charger SIXPACK. Activities took place in several areas of the proving ground and included open-road driving, pace car sessions, track exercises, and performance zones designed to showcase different aspects of the Charger's capabilities and driving dynamics.

Beyond straight-line acceleration and performance data, the activities were designed to demonstrate a broader definition of performance across different driving contexts, highlighting vehicle dynamics, capability, and driving safety. Throughout the day, journalists were able to experience firsthand the distinctive character of both models, from performance-oriented technologies to the Daytona and SIXPACK-specific design, sound, and personality.

The event was part of the broader European launch program for the next-generation Charger and offered media the opportunity to experience both powertrains back-to-back in a variety of driving conditions. By bringing together Daytona and SIXPACK in the same space, the program demonstrated how Dodge offers customers the freedom to choose between electric and internal combustion engine propulsion without compromising the performance DNA that has defined Charger for six decades.

Dodge CEO Matt McAlear said,
“Some cars can be understood simply by looking at their specs. Charger, however, has always been understood from the driver’s seat. Balocco gave European journalists the opportunity to experience how the next-generation Charger responds, communicates and connects with the driver in real-world driving situations. Whether it’s the all-electric Charger Daytona or a Charger with the SIXPACK powertrain, each model was engineered around the same goal: to deliver performance that feels immediate, controlled and deeply engaging. This connection between driver and machine has always been at the heart of Dodge, and sharing this experience directly with European media is an important moment in Dodge’s continuing evolution .

One name, two expressions of Dodge performance.
For 60 years, the Dodge Charger has represented much more than an engine. It embodies an attitude, a commitment to performance, and the determination to continue moving forward without losing sight of its identity. Drawing on the experience of the European Media Drive, this story now continues through a photo and video project titled "New Dodge Charger: unlock the thrill ," developed in collaboration with Publicis Groupe and dedicated to the next-generation Charger.

Built around the Dodge Charger Daytona and Dodge Charger SIXPACK , the project explores two different expressions of the same unmistakable spirit . The two models share much of their visual identity, but each brings its own unique character to the Charger story. This relationship forms the creative foundation for a visual narrative built around their similarities, their differences, and the emotions they are designed to evoke.

Rather than telling the Charger story solely through specifications, the project transforms design, movement, light, and sound into a direct expression of its personality . Each image is designed to reinforce a central idea: whether expressed through the Daytona or the SIXPACK, the next-generation Charger must continue to look, feel, drive, and sound unmistakably a Dodge.

A visual language designed to make an impact The “New Dodge Charger: Unlock the Thrill”
projectcomprises seven short films , accompanied by a dedicated series of product-focused images for Dodge’s editorial and social media channels. The films range from evocative reveal sequences to exterior and interior details, driver-focused perspectives, and dynamic track sequences.

The opening film brings together Daytona and SIXPACK in a dark, cinematic setting. Details gradually emerge through reflections, dynamic lighting, and light signatures before the two cars are fully revealed. The concept presents the vehicles almost as two awakening creatures, united by their presence and character.

Additional footage focuses on the exterior and interior design of the two models . Dynamic camera movements highlight each Charger's distinctive proportions, surfaces, light signatures, and styling cues, while interior sequences utilize contemporary lighting and unusual perspectives to place the driver at the center of the experience.

The next chapter begins on screen.
The first chapter of the project will launch across Dodge's social media channels with a cinematic reveal bringing together Daytona and SIXPACK. The editorial plan will then continue with individual stories dedicated to the design, interior, and distinctive character of each model .

Together, the films and images create a new visual expression of the Dodge Charger story: two technologies, two personalities and one enduring attitude.
