The new Lexus LC Cabriolet is now available from Japanese Premium dealers -Brand can be ordered. Prices start at 117,950 euros; The limited edition “Regatta” (from 138,800 euros) will also be launched at the market launch. The elegant convertible will roll into the German Lexus forums in September. The new LC Cabriolet combines the athleticism of the flagship Lexus LC coupé with a particularly comfortable open-air driving experience. The high-quality fabric top plays a central role: Thanks to a special folding mechanism, it can be stowed away to save space between the rear suspension struts of the chassis. An innovative arrangement that lowers the vehicle's center of gravity, largely preserves the luggage volume and, above all, preserves the dynamic line of the coupé.
When closed, the four-layer fabric roof ensures the brand-typical noise comfort on board. If it is opened at the push of a button within just 15 seconds, it clears the way for a particularly luxurious form of open-top driving fun. And this is not only guaranteed in summer temperatures: the intelligent Lexus automatic climate control optimizes the interaction of the air conditioning, seat and neck heating as well as the heated steering wheel depending on the outside temperature and sunlight. The sophisticated aerodynamics and the standard transparent wind deflector behind the rear seats also reduce annoying air turbulence in the interior. The hood, which can be opened and closed at up to 50 km/h, is available in black and beige, and the customer can choose between eleven body colors. The high-quality interior also offers plenty of room for personalization with the three color themes of velvet black, Bahia brown and Ascariro red.
Like the LC 500, the dynamic, elegant convertible is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 petrol engine with 341 kW/464 hp and 530 Nm of torque. The eight-cylinder engine's drive power is sent to the rear wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission. The LC 500 Cabriolet accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 270 km/h. The average fuel consumption is 12.6 liters per 100 kilometers with CO 2 emissions of 288 g/km (correlated NEDC values, preliminary data).
The already extensively equipped LC Cabriolet can be further upgraded as an option. Options include a Touring package with 20-inch forged alloy wheels, semi-aniline leather seat upholstery, Mark Levinson premium surround sound system and head-up display, as well as a Performance package with Torsen limited-slip differential, high-performance rear transverse dampers and carbon -Sill plates. The touring package is already included in the “Regatta” limited edition; 21-inch wheels and carbon door sills are also part of the equipment. The maritime character of the model is underlined by an exterior paint finish in Stratus blue, the navy blue hood and predominantly white semi-aniline leather interior including a white leather steering wheel.
