Jaguar is expanding its F-PACE range for the 2023 model year with the new six-cylinder 400 SPORT and 300 SPORT models. In addition, customers can use all the advantages of intuitive voice-controlled commands and experiences thanks to the Alexa voice control, which is standard in all models and linked to the state-of-the-art infotainment system Pivi Pro. F-PACE 400 SPORT and 300 SPORT are powered exclusively by the smooth-running and improved Ingenium six-cylinder petrol or diesel engines - each supplemented by a mild hybrid system that further increases efficiency. New 21-inch wheels in high-gloss black, the optional Black Pack, dark-tinted windows from the B-pillar and roof rails also in Gloss Black make the new SPORT models stand out visually. The seats, upholstered in Windsor leather, are a highlight in the spacious and luxurious interior.
The 400 SPORT is powered by the Ingenium 3.0-litre straight-six MHEV petrol engine with 294 kW (400 hp)* and a maximum torque of 550 Nm. The six-cylinder uses an electrically driven turbo compressor in combination with a twin-scroll turbocharger, infinitely variable intake valve lift control and 250 bar direct injection to accelerate the 400 SPORT from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds; the maximum speed is 250 km/h.
The MHEV system uses a belt starter generator placed in the engine compartment to store energy that would otherwise be lost when braking or lurching. This is stored in a 48-volt lithium-ion battery stowed under the floor of the trunk and provides a kind of turbo effect when accelerating quickly thanks to the recirculated energy and thus also enables a smoother, quieter and more responsive stop/start function. The six-cylinder diesel in MHEV configuration unleashes 221 kW (300 hp)* and a peak torque of 650 Nm. The 300 SPORT sprints to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 230 km/h. The MHEV results in CO2 emissions of 183 g/km* and fuel consumption of 6.9 l/100 km*.
In addition to the six-cylinder engine that is mandatory for the two SPORT models, Jaguar offers a plug-in hybrid engine for the F-PACE. The P400e PHEV drive was developed with the combined power of a two-liter four-cylinder petrol engine from the Ingenium series and a 105 kW electric motor with a system output of 297 kW (404 hp)*. An F-PACE equipped with it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.3 seconds; with CO2 emissions of 54 g/km* and fuel consumption of 2.4 l/100 km*. Up to 49 kilometers* can be covered purely electrically with a fully charged battery.
The current generation of the four-cylinder Ingenium engines with a displacement of two liters is available for the F-PACE in two diesel and one petrol variant. In combination with the mild hybrid package, the diesels deliver 120 kW (163 hp)* and 150 kW (204 hp)*; the 184 kW (250 hp)* two-liter petrol engine delivers a maximum of 365 Nm to its crankshaft and accelerates the F-PACE P250 to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds.
