ROWE Racing gathers new experiences on the Imola track.

05-04-2022 16:50 - MOTORSPORT
At the start of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe season in Imola (ITA), the two BMW M4 GT3 fielded by ROWE Racing showed good pace, but were unable to convert this into top positions in a difficult race. In the car with starting number 98, Nick Catsburg (NED), Augusto Farfus (BRA) and Nick Yelloly (GBR) finished eleventh. The BMW Junior Team with Dan Harper (GBR), Max Hesse (GER) and Neil Verhagen (USA) finished its debut race in the top-class racing series in 15th place. On Saturday evening, Verhagen celebrated victory in the opening race of Fanatec Esports in the virtual BMW M4 GT3 GT Pro Series and thus scored five points for the team classification.

The BMW M4 GT3 was able to hint at its great potential again and again on the storied circuit in Imola, but it was not able to call upon it in the decisive moments of the weekend. There were numerous interruptions in qualifying due to yellow and red flags, and the two BMW M4 GT3s only started the race from positions 12 and 18 on the grid.
