The new Mercedes-Benz EQA.

27-06-2021 16:53 - CAR NEWS
The EQA has the typical Mercedes-EQ front design: a black panel grille with a central star. Another distinctive design feature of the fully electric vehicle world from Mercedes-EQ is the strip of lights at the front and rear: A horizontal light guide connects the two daytime running lights of the full LED headlights and ensures a high level of recognition day and night.

The interior of the headlights is of high quality, detailed and precisely executed. The blue stripes in the headlights are also typical of Mercedes-EQ. The LED rear lights merge seamlessly into the tapered LED light strip and thus also ensure an independent appearance from behind.

EQA is the name of the new entry into the all-electric vehicle world from Mercedes-EQ. The EQA starts as EQA 250 (combined power consumption: 15.7 kWh / 100 km; combined CO2 emissions: 0 g / km) with 140 kW and a range according to NEDC of 486 kilometers [2] [3] [4]. Further variants for special customer requirements will follow. On the one hand, even more athletic all-wheel drive models with an additional electric drive train (eATS) and powers beyond 200 kW. On the other hand, a version with a range of over 500 kilometers (WLTP) 4. Mercedes-EQ sees the key to long ranges not in ever larger batteries, but in a consistent increase in the efficiency of all vehicle components.

The dynamic design of its SUV body signals that there is plenty of driving fun on board. As an excellent compromise between performance, costs and time-to-market, the EQA is the first fully electric member of the successful compact car family from Mercedes-Benz. As a close relative of the GLA, it has all the exciting properties of this vehicle and combines them with an efficient electric drive. Prices in Germany start at EUR 47,540.50.
