When it comes to the exterior, the upgraded headlights with the latest second-generation LED matrix technology and the radiator grille with horizontal light strip are immediately noticeable. Recycled textiles and environmentally friendly tanned leather in the interior underline the focus on sustainability. In addition to a new offer structure with several design selections and option packages, the Kodiaq also offers a new interior concept. The free-standing infotainment display measures 13 inches diagonally, and a head-up display is available as an option for the first time. The gear selector lever is now located on the steering column, which means the center console looks particularly tidy and offers more space. A novelty in the Kodiaq: the new Škoda Smart Dials. The three rotatable controls below the infotainment screen combine haptic control elements with 32 millimeter color displays. This enables simple and intuitive operation of the numerous vehicle and infotainment functions. The integration of the AI-based chatbot ChatGPT into the language assistant Laura will improve the customer experience in the vehicle in the future and make everyday life easier. The new Phonebox charges up to two smartphones simultaneously inductively with 15 watts and cools them in the process.
Škoda offers two diesel and two petrol engines for the new Kodiaq, which produce between 110 kW (150 hp) and 150 kW (204 hp)**. A new addition is the Kodiaq iV with plug-in hybrid drive, which mobilizes 150 kW (204 hp) of system power and covers more than 100 kilometers purely electrically***. In addition, the 110 kW (150 hp) 1.5 TSI is the first mild hybrid to join the Kodiaq range. The top petrol engine 2.0 TSI with 150 kW (204 hp) and the 2.0 TDI with 142 kW (193 hp) have all-wheel drive as standard. Škoda combines all engines of the new Kodiaq with an automatic direct shift transmission (DSG).
In 2016, Škoda introduced the first generation of the Kodiaq. With its dynamic overall package of crystalline design, plenty of space, advanced technology and many clever details, the model has won over 40 prestigious awards. The British automotive magazine Top Gear awarded it the title of 'Best Car for Big Families'. The Kodiaq received 'Car of the Year' awards in the Czech Republic, Poland and Bulgaria. It can also boast 'SUV of the Year' in British, Chinese and French magazines. To date, Škoda has delivered over 866,100 Kodiaqs to customers in 60 markets worldwide. The SUV model is also very popular in Europe, especially in Germany, the most important sales market, followed by the United Kingdom and the Czech Republic. In 2022, the Kodiaq was Škoda's best-selling SUV model after the Kamiq.
