Vauxhall has revealed a new, more streamlined version of its Griffin emblem, continuing the evolution of one of the automotive industry's most recognisable logos. The new Griffin marks the latest chapter in Vauxhall's visual identity, retaining the distinctive symbol while introducing a new interpretation for the modern Vauxhall brand. The more streamlined, contemporary logo introduces a more angular design for the iconic Griffin and removes the flag for the first time, previewing an evolution of the brand’s Bold and Pure design language, as it looks ahead to an electric future and the next generation of vehicles. The new logo complements the distinctive Vauxhall Vizor grille, a key feature of the brand’s design since its introduction in 2021 and which is now seen across its entire line-up. The simpler logo is designed to appear sharper on the illuminated Vizor grille, a feature inspired by the 2023 Vauxhall Experimental Concept and first seen in mass production on the Grandland in 2024. The illumination of the logo was added to the New Astra in 2026 and will appear on future models. Mark Adams, Vauxhall Design Vice-President, said: “The Griffin emblem is instantly recognisable, with Vauxhalls seen on almost every street in Britain. Having adorned our vehicles in different forms for more than 120 years, we wanted to retain its essential elements while streamlining it for the next generation of electrified vehicles. As the Griffin is now illuminated on the front of our latest models, this simpler design also makes it clearer and easier to identify. The new look is sharper, cleaner and fits perfectly with the next evolution of our Bold and Pure design language.” The new logo will debut at the Paris Motor Show on the Vauxhall STX Concept – standing for Sports Tourer eXperimental, this sleek, aero-efficient estate car will showcase design elements that will appear on future Vauxhalls. It will then feature on the next all-new Vauxhall production model, set to be revealed in 2027. The latest Griffin is at the heart of Vauxhall’s new retailer corporate identity, which is currently being rolled out across the UK and accompanies the recently upgraded digital environment to deliver a sleek, modern experience across all customer touchpoints. The new logo introduction coincides with the launch of a new brand campaign, Brit’s What We Do, that celebrates Vauxhall’s role in UK society. The long-term campaign will evolve to include Vauxhall’s proud association as Official Car & Van Partner to Team GB in the run-up to the Olympics in 2028.
