17-09-2021 08:03 - CAR NEWS
With the HR-V, Honda is taking the next step towards the complete electrification of its volume models in Europe by 2022: The new generation of the compact SUV is available with the efficient and sophisticated e: HEV hybrid drive as standard. The new edition of the popular compact SUV is available in three equipment lines from 30,400 euros or at monthly leasing rates from 299 euros. Orders can be placed immediately and the new model will be on the road in early 2022. The exterior of the new Honda HR-V is characterized by a striking coupé-SUV silhouette and an elegant design in the style of the current Honda design language. In the spacious and versatile interior, high-quality materials create a lively atmosphere.

For the first time, the Honda HR-V has the self-charging e: HEV hybrid technology, which combines a smooth and pleasant driving experience with direct responsiveness and fuel efficiency. The system comprises two compact and powerful electric motors that are coupled to a 1.5-liter i-VTEC petrol engine. The drive motor develops an output of 96 kW (131 PS) and a maximum torque of 253 Nm at 4,500 rpm. The three drive modes of the e: HEV hybrid technology are automatically selected depending on the prevailing conditions. For the best possible efficiency, the HR-V starts up in electric mode, which seamlessly changes to hybrid mode when higher torque is required. The petrol engine is used when driving at a higher and more constant speed. The combined standard consumption according to WLTP is 5.4 liters per 100 kilometers, which corresponds to CO2 emissions of 122 g / km.
